Notification of Acceptance
We accept all applications until our selection meeting, which is held on Sunday March 22nd. After this we recommend you call to verify whether there are any openings in your age group. Should your team be accepted into our tournament, we shall notify you by mail and email, to be sent the following day.
We also fax the list of accepted teams to The Farmington Marriott (headquarters Hotel (860)-678-1000), once the mail has been sent (approximately noon on Monday). This is done to make acquiring rooms in the headquarters hotel as fair as we can. The block of rooms will become available once they receive the fax around noon on the 23rd. In other words, if you wait for the mail, the headquarters hotel will most likely be full, and only accepting a small number of wait listings.
We ask that for the Headquarters hotel, you estimate your room requirements as accurately as you can; e.g., take a survey of traveling parents before you call for reservations. Often, reservations are made for more rooms than are needed. This causes the reserved block to go more quickly (covering fewer teams) than it might. Because of this practice, and late releases of rooms unneeded, there have often been rooms unused from the reserved block. So, in order to avoid requiring a non-refundable deposit at time of reservation, we are strongly encouraging you to take an extra effort to estimate your requirements accurately.
